The DNB betting (Draw No Bet), i.e. bets « refund in case of a draw », are widely used on online betting sites. However, the proposed rating for this type of bet is not always optimized. Indeed, in many cases it is possible to significantly increase the amount of the rating and therefore your potential earnings.

How to make your DNB bets?

To create your own DNB bets (reimbursed if zero), the method is to place 2 bets instead of the one in normal time on the rating proposed by the bookmaker. You'll have to divide your start bet into two distinct bets.

For example, you decide to play a DNB on Team 1 (team 1 wins, refunded if draw). Instead of placing your entire bet on the bet rating « refund if nil » proposed by the operator, you will engage:

• 1st bet on 1 (team 1 wins)
• A 2nd bet on the N (match zero)

By doing this, you composed your own DNB bet. This technique is very useful for players betting on tobacco because usually this kind of bet is not available.

Now, let's see together the calculations to distribute your bets. They're relatively simple, you'll see.

M = Total bet that one wishes to place

M1 = Set the draw

M2 = Focus on winning the target team

CN = Rating of the draw

Two bets must be committed. Take the example of the DNB on Team 1:

Here, M equals the total bet you decide to play, M1 at the 1st bet on the draw, M2 at the 2nd bet on the win of Team 1 and CN, at the side of the draw.

So you just made your own DNB bet. And even better than that, you just increased (in most cases) the rating of the DNB bet compared to that proposed by the bookmaker.

Calculation to get the new rating of your DNB bet

This should be done as follows:

Here, M2 is equivalent to the 2nd bet on Team 1, C1's win at Team 1's and C's on your DNB's new bet.

With this calculation, you get a new C-rated rating. If Team 1 wins, you win your bet. The calculation of your earnings will be as follows: (M*C*C-M). In case there is a draw, your total bet is refunded (classic DNB bet). However, if Team 1 loses, you lose the entire bet.

It should be noted that these calculations can be applied to other types of bets. « refunded if... » as the ANB bets (none refunded if win outside) or HNB (none refunded if win at home).

We will now move on to a more concrete example. You will undoubtedly better understand how this method works.

A concrete example to better understand

We will choose as an example the match Marseille-Reims of 22/12/2021 that takes place as part of the league championship 1 season 2021-2022

We make the choice to play Reims DNB, i.e. « win Reims, refunded if nil ».

Take a total bet (M) of 100€ that you would have played in full on the proposed Reims DNB rating at @3.15

Now we're gonna split that bet. We will therefore commit:

You will hire a 1^era of 27,40€ on the draw at @3.65. And you're going to hire a 2^nde 72.60 set€ on Reims' victory at @4.65

Review :

• If Reims loses the game, you lose your bet of 100€
• If there's a draw, you get it: 27,40*3.65 = 100€. Your bet is therefore refunded. This is the very principle of a DNB bet with the possibility of reimbursement.
• If Reims wins, you get: 72.60*4.65 = 337.59€.
• To get your new secure Handicap bet rating, simply divide the last sum by 100, i.e.: 337.59/100 = @3.38 is the equivalent rating to this bet.

Conclusion : This is obvious, the difference in rating is simply huge! By making your own DNB bet, you have increased the rating of 23 cents (3,38 – 3,15). And the risk is exactly the same because in both cases, you bet 100€. In the first case (by playing 100€ on the rating proposed by the bookmaker), you can win up to 215€ net. And in the second case (by creating your own DNB bet), you can win up to 238€ Clear!

So you not only made your own DNB bet (very useful for tobacco betters) but you also boosted the odds and increased your earnings considerably.
